Winter Fiesta 2015

KIIT World School, Pitampura organized a grand Winter Fiesta on 24th December 2015 in its premises. The fiesta had a spread of sumptuous food items in the stalls and everyone had a ball playing various innovative games put up by the students. The fiesta had everything to cater to the amusement of everyone present there. From train ride and trampoline for the young ones to ‘Tambola’ for the parents and elderly. People were seen enthused by the excitement of the day. The enchantment surrounded them as they serenaded their loved ones by dedicating songs to them. There was a bouquet of cultural performances by the students.
At KIIT, learning and fun go hand in hand . Along with the merriment of the festive spirit, the audience witnessed a “Melange” of culture, traditions, customs, history and music in the international exhibition focusing on six countries- United States of America, United Kingdom, Spain, Singapore, South Korea and United Arab Emirates. It was truly, a gala event where the audience had fun, frolic and captured each moment in their memories.

KIIT celebrates GANIT WEEK 


KIIT World School , Pitampura celebrated National Mathematics Day on 22 December 2015 to mark the birth anniversary of great Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. He had no formal training in mathematics yet he made extraordinary contributions in continued fractions and infinite series.
“RAMANUJAN DAY” celebration comprised of different events like Math-O-Cuisine where the students prepared food items using measurements and size concept. In Trendz- Maths for fashion event, students prepared clothes made out of paper. Mathematics Rapture event witnessed participants making rap songs that included various aspects of mathematics. Various activities were conducted on the occasion  where the students displayed their acumen for the subject and learnt values like team-work and co-ordination. They also realized that mathematics can be learnt with fun.
19th October 2015   Science Exhibition

KIIT World School, Pitampura organized ‘Techno-Genie’, the annual Science exhibition where the students showcased their innovative ideas and represented them in the form of working models and simulation. The themes chosen by the students varied from resource management, disaster management, agriculture and food safety, industry and health, nutrition and cleanliness, etc. The main idea behind this exhibition was to find solutions to problems existing in everyday life. Through the models students displayed ways to manage disposable waste and also came up with brilliant ideas to manage energy conservation in a small setup. It was commendable to see the scientific temperament of young genius minds.

SEC Club of KIIT World School, Pitampura in collaboration with Commerce Department organized SELL-O-MANIA activity in which students put up the stalls of homemade food. The objective behind this activity was to enable the students to get the fair idea of the real buying and selling world, to prepare a cost sheet, to inculcate the spirit of business as social responsibility and to set up the relationship between the theoretical aspect and the practical aspect.  A large variety of sumptuous food was divided in four parts of India i.e. north, south, east, and west. All commerce students sold the eatables to the students of class from VI to XII. At the onset of the activity the students welcomed our guests from WAID ACADEMY, SCOTLAND and delicacies were served to them. The best part of the activity was that the coupons for eatables were sold a day before and students were called those who had purchased the coupons thus ensuring smooth functioning of the gala sale.

KIIT World School, Pitampura conducted Mock Parliament Session on 19th October  in commemoration of 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr B R Ambedkar. This was an initiative taken by Social Science Department, under the guidance of CBSE,  to develop democratic ethos in the younger generation.The students were first acquainted with the practical working of the real Parliament of the country by witnessing the actual proceedings. They were familiarized with the arrangements made for the members in the Chamber of the Lok Sabha.The working of the Youth Parliament followed the pattern of the working of the Lok Sabha. About 55 students were selected and trained to participate in the competition from our school. The Youth Parliament Session lasted for 55 minutes and was judged by Principal, Ms Karuna Verma along with the teachers from Waid Academy, Scotland. The students gave a wonderful performance and first position was shared between Saba Nehal and Vasundhara Dhar of class XII, Second position was shared by Vaishnavi Arora, Shiwangi Parihar, Kritika Mathur and Lakshay Chhabra and Utkarsh Tiwari and Ayushi Bhardwaj bagged the third position.

Satya Kamrah Memorial Competitions

KIIT World School, Pitampura organized its annual literary and cultural fest- SKM 2015 amidst much fanfare on 12th and 13th October 2015. The cornucopia of exuberance and excitement could be seen around the campus as the school also hosted 24 students and 6 teachers from its partner school, Waid Academy, Scotland.  The 15th Satya Kamrah Memorial Inter-School Competitions saw an overwhelming participation from various reputed schools across Delhi and NCR region who competed for the coveted trophies showcasing the true sportsmanship spirit. More than 500 participants from 32 schools graced the occasion on both the days making the event a grand success. The two-day long event comprised of an assortment of activities that catered to the creative genius of the participants and at the same time highlighted their prowess for eloquence, music, technology, art and craft. All the activities were, in a true sense, an embodiment of the Indian Global outlook that KIIT envisions. The students could be seen beaming with gusto and zest. Some of the participants were seen engrossed in their activities. The judges and audience were equally elated by the confident performances of the students. DPS, Gurgaon became the proud recipient of this year's Rolling Trophy. The occasion also proved to be a cultural fiesta that provided glimpses of rich Indian tradition with the right mix of modernity to the visitors from Scotland.

Students of KIIT World School participated in Peace Day VC with Hasad International School, Jordan and Mahatma CBSE with the special guest Lisa Cumming. Lisa works as a Community Associate for Programme for a Peaceful City (PPC), Peace Studies and the Faculty of Social and International Studies at the University of Bradford. Students built the dialogue on importance of peace in a society, they shared what peace initiatives they are taking to make their communities peaceful. Lisa shared some thought provoking incidences to make the students understand how empathy can resolve conflicts.

Korean Cultural Centre Visit 

Students of KIIT World School, Pitampura visited Korean Cultural Centre for a Calligraphy Exhibition and workshop. It was a great opportunity for the students to have a first-hand experience of learning the nuances of Korean Calligraphy. The visit comprised of a tour around the gallery where the calligraphy artist explained various art forms to the students. He also gave a little insight about Korean traditions. There was an interactive session for the students where they asked their queries and also got a chance to get their dreams painted by the artist.

International day of democracy

15th September 2015, KIIT organised special assembly on International day of democracy in order to foster a sense of human rights, values and socila responsibilities amongst the students. The students of class IX-E being the co-ordinators of the event, showcased their various skills through their presentation. They put forth various activities upstage like- inactment of different political parties,speech, on facts and advantages of democracy,articles related to human rights for women and children etc. Last but not the least, a quiz based on the same theme was wonderfully conducted  to enhance the listening skills of the students.

हिंदी दिवस


आज १४ सितम्बर के. आई. आई. टी. वर्ल्ड स्कूल के सभागार में हिंदी दिवस का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें अतिथि के रूप में चेयरमैन श्रीमन  कमराः जी, श्रीमती संगीता भटिया,  प्रधानाचार्य जी व् शैक्षिक अध्यक्ष श्रीमन  एस.  के.  मुंजाल  उपस्थित थे।  इस कार्यक्रम का सञ्चालन आयुषी भरद्वाज तथा लक्ष्य छाबड़ा ने किया। कार्यक्रम में प्राचीन  कवियों का समन्वय दिखाया गया।  आयोजन के दौरान एक प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन भी किया गया तथा  अभिभावकों का निर्णायक मंडल बनाया गया।

Investiture Ceremony


The Investiture Ceremony of KIIT World School, Pitampura for the academic session 2015-16 was held in a special program organized in the school. The event was presided over by the Principal, Dr Sangeeta Bhatia, who urged the students to be more centered in their approach so that they achieve excellence in every sphere of life. She drew attention of students towards the value of true leadership and the role of youth in future-building.

Teachers' Day Celebrations


KIIT World School, Pitampura celebrated Teachers’ Day on 4th September amidst great gusto and fanfare. Kahlil Gibran has rightly said that, “The teacher who is indeed wise does not bid you to enter the house of his wisdom but rather leads you to the threshold of your mind.” The students of class XII paid a glowing tribute to their revered teachers. It was an exhilarating experience for them to don the hat of a teacher for a day and manage things in their own way.  A cultural program was organized on the occasion where the students gave a heartfelt ‘salute’ in the form of a dance performance. The choir group sang a medley of soulful songs wherein everyone joined them. As a token of their love and appreciation for their teachers, the students presented trophies to them.

Story Telling Session

Korean Cultural Centre in association with ASSITEJ INDIA organized a story telling programme ‘Tell a Tale Korea’ at KIIT WORLD SCHOOL on 24th August, 2015.

The artists, in their colourful attires, introduced Korean Fairy and Folk tales to students. Three stories, "Mr. Moon and Miss Sun", "The Faithful Daughter Shim Cheong" and “The Woodcutter and the Heavenly Maiden" were performed by the artists (Mr. Imran, Mr Ishu and Ms Deepali).

Green Initiatives by Eco- Warriors

As a part of their continuous Tree Plantation Drive, students came up with an interesting idea. They prepared beautiful hanging plant baskets, which were hung in the covered corridors making it look greener. By planting small saplings, filling in mud, giving water, they connected with nature and fostered a bond. Students also prepared posters to sensitize the whole school about the need of Green Initiatives and invited them all to join their mission.

World Humanitarian Day (19th August, 2015)

Students of class X A presented assembly on World Humanitarian Day remembering the people who sacrificed their lives for the betterment of the humanity. It is said that no good deed goes in vain, we all need to think beyond ourselves. Students remembered the legends like Mother Teresa, Martin Luther king, Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi for their contribution towards society. A thought provoking poem was recited by Kanwal preet kaur, asking everyone to reflect about their own actions and encouraging them to do their bit as every small drop makes an ocean.

Tree Plantation Drive

Eco Club of KIIT World School organized a Tree Plantation Drive as their sustained efforts to keep the environment clean and green. The director of Environment, Dr. Anil Kumar planted a sapling along with the students to reiterate the significance of a Green Delhi. The Vice Principal Mrs. Karuna Verma, Dean Academics Mr. S.K. Munjal and Head-mistress Dr. Richa Verma joined hands in the drive of making the campus green. An interaction with the students took place to sensitize them to contribute to the cause by doing their bit.

50th Year Celebration

KIIT Delhi- Gurgaon ushered in their Golden Jubilee year in the field of education under the aegis of Vidyapati Sansthan on 5thMay 2015. A grand programme was organized on this occasion in Delton Hall, Lodhi Road.
Sh. B.R. Kamrah, an accomplished visionary, stirred the audience with his inspiring speech. Dr. Harsh Vardhan, CEO, KIIT Group of Colleges, expressed his
 heartfelt gratitude towards everybody who are associated with VPS. KIIT World School, Pitampura and KIIT College, Gurgaon unveiled their annual magazine YUGANK and SOUVENIR on this special occasion.
The highlight of the event was the felicitation of all those people who are and have  been a part of the VPS and devoted themselves  wholeheartedly in this continuous expedition.
