Dr. Rajendra Prasad Teacher's Award 2014
 

Dr. Rajendra Prasad Teacher's Award 2014 was felicitated to Ms Sheetal Soni by International Eminent Educationists' Forum of India on 5 September 2014. The chief guest of the award ceremony was Sh. B.R. Kamrah- Chairman,KIIT Group of Colleges, Gurgaon.

Social Enterprise Challenge 2013, Profit Award

KIIT World School, Delhi becomes the proud recipient of Social Enterprise Challenge 2013, Profit Award and $ 2500 USD for their successful, educational and innovative business enterprise. Extreme poverty remains a huge challenge at international level and one that traditional education often struggles to solve. Another pressing challenge in the context of global education is solving the youth unemployment crisis, with 75 million people aged 16 to 24 currently unemployed.
 The School Enterprise Challenge was designed as a way of transforming large numbers of young people from all over the world from job seekers into job creators. The competition challenges young people to establish a socially responsible, yet profitable, business at their school. In 2013, over 1065 schools from 80 countries benefited from participating in the School Enterprise Challenge. KIIT is leading the way in India with an innovative and sustainable school business- Nutri Cafe, that has not only positively impacted its students but also their wider community.

Gone are the days when one waited for the opportunities to knock at the door, the twenty century learner should be equipped with skills where he can create opportunities not only for himself but for society at large.

National Education Excellence Award 2014
 


KIIT was felicitated with the National Education Excellence Award 2014 for 'Best Use of Innovation in Teaching Pedagogy' by Assocham, India. The Award was presented by Padma Vibhushan Dr. Karan Singh on 19th February 2014. The teaching methodologies should be a reflection of the values of the school. Keeping this in mind, KIIT’s focus has been to create dynamic and flexible learning spaces for its students. Aligned to its attempt to move from the teacher/curriculum driven education system to student driven learning environment, it successfully implements projects and activities to create more avenues of using virtual environments and communication technologies to support learning in and out of school.  The projects/activities have tried to create a balanced amalgamation of physical and virtual learning spaces to support new pedagogies according more value and control to the learner and their individual needs.

KIIT World School has received International School Award for its continued journey of collaborative learning programmes with schools in United Kingdom, USA and Indonesia. The students studied about World Culture, Architecture, Cuisine, Economy and Music and exchanged their projects and ideas with participating schools through email exchanges, blogs, British Council website and Videoconferencing sessions. Our Projects provided a flexible framework to partner schools for engaging students in exploring curricular topics and developing important 21st century skills, such as communication, teamwork, problem solving and high order thinking skills. The collaborative work was appreciated by British Council and the school has received a Connecting Classroom Grant for Teachers’ Visit to partner school in Scotland.

Mr. R.K. Sharma, Dean Administration, KIIT World School received Life Time Achievement Award from Co-ordination Committee of Public Schools on 1st September 2013 for his outstanding contribution in the field of education & community service over last 38 years.
The award was presented at the "Shikshak Samman 2013" function organised on the occasion of Teachers' Day, at India International Centre, New Delhi.

Green School Award

KIIT World School received this year's Green School Award from Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) for conducting environment audits. The school is doing exemplary work in environmental conservation by minimising water consumption, optimising the energy use, shifting to mass transport modes, and catering to bio-diversity conservation. Delhi Transport Minister, Ramakant Goswami and members of rock band Indian Ocean gave away the award at a ceremony held at India Habitat Centre.


Swami Vivekananda School of Excellence Award
 

KIIT World School was conferred with Swami Vivekananda School of Excellence Award for excellent work done to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary Celebration of Swami Vivekananda.

Twenty two thousand schools from all over India participated in the 'Awakening India, celebration of the 150 Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.' KIIT was amongst the forty short listed schools who won the prestigious, 'Swami Vivekananda school of Excellence Awards'.


Membership, National Progressive School Conference

The school has been an active member of organizations like Forum of Public School, Federation of Public Schools, North West Sahodaya School Complex, Sarv Sahodaya Cluster, Forum for Promotion of Quality in Education for all. The school has recently become the member of National Progressive Schools Conference (NPSC).
