KIIT World School is being run under the aegis of Vidyapati Sansthan, comprising of eminent educationists, social workers and philanthropists. It is a progressive senior secondary school recognized by the Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi and affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. The high academic standards at KIIT are maintained through intellectual firmness. All students get an opportunity to develop into critical and compassionate thinkers, successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens who are able to manage change.
The school has a vision of creating a community of connected, confident, Indian global citizens. Our goal is to motivate children to learn ‘how to learn’ with passion and curiosity. We want students to gain an impetus for lifelong learning and become educated and informed leaders of the future who will collaborate, work and create to improve the quality of life. We endeavour to see our students cross the benchmarks of academic excellence and, continuously create the new ones. And it would be most satisfying if the community of teachers at KIIT could render a generation of citizens who perceive this world as a ‘one big family’. The school aims at creating citizens who not only have the calibre to think beyond their confined self, but their actions too reflect their noble spirits. To realize this vision in true sense we all need sublimity in our thoughts and actions. A narrow vision on part of the educationists would only create a fleet of Engineers, Doctors or IAS officers and may be high profile politicians, who are entirely impaired to combat with grave issues like Global Warming, Global Terrorism, Insurgency, Famines, Starvation, Beggary, etc. Our vision is a possible projection and a ray of hope of a happy future for our world, i.e. ‘our one big family.’
Children today are living in a fascinating world that is advancing into a global society and knowledge epoch where momentous changes take place every day. Tremendous challenges are opening up for students. In the changing scenario, it has become the moral duty of every responsible educational institution to groom children to be befitting citizens. We need to stand firm in the richness of our ancient Indian culture, tradition and values that advocate love, care and concern.
We at KIIT aim to nurture not just better adjusted achievers, not just better conformers, but also young men and women who can strike a new trail, who can redefine notions of success and who can take open hearts and minds out into the society which they can help transform. Global strategies are used to provide a platform for holistic development of students. School’s mission is to provide an academic and co-curricular program that challenges each student and equips him/her with knowledge, skills, values, motivation and confidence. For international exposure, the school has initiated some international projects like International trips, Foreign Cultural Exchange Programmes, participation in British Council projects, participation in online BBC debates, video conferencing with foreign schools and project sharing through ICT.
The school believes in growing together. The learning has not been confined within the boundaries of school. The school has joined hands with various organizations like CBSE, DoE, SCERT for promoting meaningful education over learning for scores through various projects. The school has been an active member of organizations like Forum of Public School, Federation of Public Schools, North West Sahodaya School Complex, Sarv Sahodaya Cluster, Forum for Promotion of Quality in Education for all. The school is also the member of National Progressive Schools Conference (NPSC).
