Motherhood is a promise to close your eyes while crossing the road but trusting the finger you hold onto. A mother is synonymous to all the fairies from our bedtime stories. If a day would be enough to celebrate this warm emotion, a day would be as long as a year.

The day that recognizes the essence of a mother was celebrated in high spirits and merriment in KIIT World School on 7 May 2022. The children irrespective of their nationalities, castes, cultures and genders have emotions binding them to their mothers.Keeping this bonding emotion in mind, the Kiitians celebrated Mother’s day. Teachers made an earnest effort to instill the importance of mother in a child’s life through effective thematic presentations, moral stories, dramatization to name a few.

Parents were entertained by myriad presentations exhibited by juniors and seniors. All performances exalted the mother as God, teacher, friend , philosopher and guide and emphasized the truth that a mother’s love for her child is like nothing else in the world.Heartwarming feelings filled the air with nostalgia, gratitude, appreciation and acknowledgement. There were mothers who were overwhelmed with emotions.

Dr Sangeeta Bhatia, principal KIIT World School, inspired the children to imbibe values from their mother and acknowledge their presence in their lives. The day culminated with all mothers and children, enjoying themselves and taking back fond memories of a day well spent.
